Founded in 2017, OVRSEA is a next-generation freight forwarder that uses technology to simplify and optimize international transport for businesses. We support 700+ companies across 60 countries in their international freight shipments.
In January 2026, OVRSEA merged with the Fatton Lyseo group. This large-scale operation comes amid profound geopolitical, commercial, and technological shifts. Our ambition is clear: to build, through organic and external growth, a unified, agile, and sustainable French leader in logistics, capable of addressing new challenges in logistics control, operational performance, and technological disruption.
This merger brings together, under a single group, cutting-edge tech expertise, well-established historical know-how, and a dense network of locations across strategic geographies - with over 1,000 employees, 61 offices in 14 countries, and 120,000 m² of warehouse space - serving demanding clients in the luxury, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries. Joining our teams means taking part in building an independent, high-performing, and innovative group.
OVRSEA operates with a lean, centralized data team that serves as the single source of truth for all company data, from operational metrics to sales and financial information.
We are at a pivotal moment: with the merger, the group is scaling from ~100 to over 1,000 people, across several entities and systems. The Data team's challenge is to scale data usage accordingly (more users, more entities, more tools) while keeping a single, reliable source of truth for every key business metric.
The Data team's main objectives are to serve every team in the company and help them make data-driven decisions. This includes:
- Fostering Data culture: encouraging data consumption and literacy across the organization
- Ensuring quality Data access: making reliable data easily accessible to everyone in the group
- Breaking Data silos: implementing centralized Data Governance to establish single sources of truth for key business metrics across entities
- Building Data infrastructure: maintaining robust data pipelines and systems that enable scalable analytics
- Bridging Product and Data: making sure the data we expose keeps pace with a fast-evolving product. The product changes quickly, and the Data team must stay agile and adapt continuously.
You'll work hand in hand with Marie-Sophie, Head of Data at OVRSEA. Your missions:
Creating and Maintaining Data models:
- Building transformed, analytics-ready datasets using dbt and SQL
- Ensuring models are well-documented, tested, and follow dbt best practices
- Implementing data quality checks and monitoring
Deploying and Scaling our BI Platform (Sigma):
- Building and organizing official, group-level dashboards in Sigma
- Ensuring there is only one source of truth in Sigma for users: official, owned dashboards, with no duplicated metrics or competing versions of the numbers
- Monitoring performance and usage patterns
Building the Single Source of Truth for Company Context:
- Beyond the numbers themselves, creating the single source of truth for the company's business context: one metric = one definition, documented, owned, and shared across all entities
- Structuring business knowledge (definitions, documentation, ownership) so that both humans and AI agents can rely on it
- Ensuring consistency between what the data says and how teams across the group understand and use it
Scaling the Data Team's impact through automation and AI:
- Working daily with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code)
- Identifying repetitive or manual tasks within the data lifecycle and designing scalable automation solutions
- Building and experimenting with AI agents that streamline data workflows: model documentation, data quality monitoring, first-line support to business users
- Contributing to AI-powered self-service experiences on top of our BI platform (e.g. text-to-insight), so business teams can explore data autonomously
- You are available for 6 months, starting as early as December 2026.
- You are a student from a top business or engineering school (or equivalent). We value the intersection of technical and business expertise.
- Excellent communication skills: you know how to bridge the gap between technical teams and business users, and can make data topics clear to both audiences.
- Rigorous: you care deeply about data quality. You go after edge cases, dig until the numbers are right, and deliver precise, reliable work.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Sigma, Metabase, Tableau, or similar)
- Basic development tools (Git, terminal, command line)
- SQL proficiency and/or experience with dbt
- Enthusiasm for AI tools: you're curious about working with AI assistants and agents day-to-day
- Curiosity and strong desire to learn. You don't need to master all technical skills initially, but must have a strong willingness to learn.
- Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken)
- Be part of our team of ambitious and talented individuals who share our values: analytical thinking, quality execution, and a deep thirst for learning.
- Experience a personalized onboarding program, setting you up for success from day one.
- Work in a vibrant work environment and take on challenging projects, collaborating with other teams while enjoying a high level of ownership and autonomy.
- Benefit from commuter benefits and meal vouchers. For interns in France: Digital Swile card of 10€ per worked day (5,5€ paid by OVRSEA).
