Internship (Data Analysis)

The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools and steering systems, and now a fourth plant with a final testing centre for sensors and semiconductors.

PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production commenced in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

As an intern, you will be responsible but not limited to the following:

• Scheduling and coordinating appointments with internal customers
• Taking meeting minutes for department and internal meetings
• Preparing and consolidating presentations, reports, and notes
• Analyzing supplier’s quarterly financial reports to support decision-making
• Conducting market research on the semiconductor industry, including OSATs and foundry partners, and presenting findings using PowerPoint and charts
• Assisting with the development and optimization of workflows in ETL tools i.e KNIME for process automation
• Supporting the maintenance of Power BI dashboards for data visualization with various data sources (Excel, SQL, etc)
• Automate processes using Power Automate to enhance operational efficiency
• Ensure data integrity through consistency checks and abnormality detection
• Support in screening for open IT positions as part of hiring process
• Assisting in follow-up on internal tasks and administrative task
• Ad-hoc topics as assigned

• Candidate must be a fulltime student pursuing Bachelor in Data Science/Computer Science/Business/IT or related field
• Motivated, strong in communication, cooperative in working with colleagues and external parties and assertive personality
• Independent, result- and quality-oriented
• High accountability and reliability
• Strong analytical skill and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and IT skill
• Basic knowledge of Power BI is an added value
• Good proficiency in English & Malay language
• High flexibility and able to work under pressure
• Preferable 6 months of internship and can start in Q3/2025 onwards
