Internship - Data & AI | Consulting (from February 2027)

Interpath combines deep sector insight with hands-on execution capabilities to support Private Equity investors and portfolio companies in leveraging data and AI as core value drivers.

Interpath entered the German market in January 2025 and is rapidly building its presence across the DACH region. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our growing Data & AI capability while working closely with experienced Managing Directors and project teams.

In this role, you will support our team on data- and AI-driven projects for Private Equity investors and portfolio companies. You will work at the intersection of analytics, technology, and strategy.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting AI, data, and digital analyses across transaction and value creation engagements
• Assisting in AI and technology due diligence, including analysis of data assets, use cases, and scalability potential
• Contributing to the identification of AI-enabled value creation initiatives (e.g. automation, advanced analytics, AI applications)
• Preparing presentations and translating complex technical topics into clear, business-oriented insights
• Supporting project teams in tracking performance and impact of data and AI initiatives
• Conducting market research on AI, data platforms, and digital trends
• Collaborating with consultants and managers across interdisciplinary teams

You bring strong analytical skills and an interest in applying data and AI to real-world business challenges.

You should have:

• Ongoing or recently completed Masters studies in (Business) Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
• First exposure to data analytics, AI, machine learning, or digital technologies (academic or practical)
• Understanding of AI concepts, data structures, and digital business models
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (especially Excel and PowerPoint); good knowledge of Python, SQL, or data visualization
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights
• A proactive mindset and ability to work in a team environment
• Fluency in German (minimum C1) and English (minimum B2)
• Willingness to travel as required for client engagements

The minimum duration of this internship is 5 months.
