To complement your academic studies with practical experience, BDO offers you the opportunity to join our professional Risk Advisory Department as an intern. This hands-on experience will give you valuable insight into both the working environment and BDO itself. As a Business Risk Advisory Intern, you will assist team members in helping organizations identify and manage risks and controls. Together with more experienced colleagues, you work on various business risk-related projects such as Internal Audit, Risk Management and Internal Control. Your key responsibilities will be : 

• Assess business processes from a risk and control point of view;  
• Identifying and assessing vulnerabilities in clients’ control environments or processes through interviews and the inspection of systems and documents;  
• Add value to clients by formulating pragmatic and tailored recommendations;  
• Manage multiple concurring projects & ensuring timely delivery.  

You will work as part of a team that helps to ensure that the strategies and operations of our clients align with their objectives. As a team you will provide independent, critical advice to develop tailored internal control frameworks and optimize business processes. 

• You will graduate with a Master’s degree in Business Economics or equivalent.
• If you were to describe yourself, one of the first terms to come to mind would be “flexible”. Juggling multiple deadlines or dealing with several different files on the same day? A piece of cake for you.
• You take ownership of your responsibilities, are pragmatic in your approach, and work well within a team.
• You communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to clients.
• You are tech-savvy, with familiarity in audit tools and AI considered a plus.
• You are willing to travel as needed, both within Europe and internationally, and adaptable to diverse client environments.
• You are fluent in English, combined with Dutch or French. All three is an additional asset.
