AssignmentOur Finance & Control team is looking for a proactive and curious intern to help us optimize and automate our service control processes – especially during month-end closings, forecasts, and budgeting cycles.
Currently, many of our control activities require manual effort. Your mission? Dive into these processes, identify inefficiencies, and help us create smarter, faster, and more reliable workflows through automation and innovation.
By the end of your internship, you'll have delivered concrete improvements that reduce manual workload and boost the accuracy and speed of our financial reporting.
DepartmentWe are currently with a team of 14 people with focus on financial controlling for our project and service team. The team is distributed in Veghel, London, Mönchengladbach, Paris and Barcelona. In this role you’ll also work with other teams/people across the world. You can learn from our experienced colleagues to kickstart your career in Finance.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Analyse the current manual financial control processes during monthly closings, forecasts, and budget cycles
- Identify key control steps and map out inefficiencies or time-consuming activities
- Propose and implement opportunities for process optimization and automation
- Evaluate and test new automation tools or scripts
- Document improvements and ensure process standardization and repeatability
- Collaborate with international finance teams and IT colleagues to ensure alignment
- Create clear reporting or dashboards to track financial performance and control metrics
- Assist in change management and internal communication around new workflows
- You are currently enrolled in a study related to Finance and Control, Business Economics, Accountancy, or Financial Management
- You are enthusiastic about financial analysis, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience or interest in automation tools
- You are proactive, independent, and hands-on in your approach
- You are eager to learn, ask critical questions, and are not afraid to challenge the status quo
- You communicate clearly and enjoy working in a collaborative, international environment
- You are fluent in Dutch or English (fluency in both is a plus)
*Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
