Join the Palatability and Flavour team within Pet Nutrition Global R&D, where we combine two passions: a love for pets and a passion for data! As an intern with us, you’ll dive into an international, collaborative environment focused on enhancing pet food palatability — always keeping the needs of both pets and their parents in mind. To achieve our mission, our scientists rely on fast, accurate data analysis, and your support in making this possible will be essential to our success. In your role, you will:
Your tasks:
- Develop and maintain scripts for preparing and processing lab data to ensure consistency and quality for analysis.
- Assist scientists and team members with visualizing data and conducting statistical analyses to support research and decision-making.
- Write clean, well-documented code and maintain clear documentation of workflows and methodologies.
- Support the migration of lab-generated data into a centralized data lake, contributing to streamlined data access and usability for researchers.
Your profile:
- Enrollment for the entire period of the internship (current enrollment certificate and proof of mandatory internship must be attached to the application) or internship between the Bachelor and Master studies (Gap Year).
- Experience in programming, either in python or in R (experience in both is a plus).
- Basic understanding of data wrangling, data visualization, and statistical methods.
- Interest in applying data science in a laboratory or scientific environment.
- Fluent English (no German required)
- Nice to have: Experience with data lakes or cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Nice to have: Experience using version control tools such as Git.
