Description of AssignmentThe AI workbench is a CDAO-governed framework that extends the platform to enable the development, deployment and operation of AI solutions. It provides standardization, accelerations and best practices on technology, processes and responsibilities so teams can deliver high-value, compliant and efficient AI use cases.
Your internship will contribute to the improvement of existing components of the AI Workbench or developing new areas of capabilities.
As an intern, you will conduct research and build solutions to improve the AI workbench. The exact topic will be defined closer to your start date, based on organizational priorities and your personal interests.
Potential focus areas include, but are not limited to:
- Technical: LLMOps, cost optimization, drift monitoring, context engineering
- Process: lifecycle management, compliance automation
- Adoption: onboarding journeys, developer experience
- Business: agentification of roles, value prototyping

This Azure cloud enabled platform based on the Data Mesh principle empowers us to deliver valuable Data Products by transforming, processing, combining, and enriching data from various source systems, ultimately creating a reliable source of truth for our customers. To enable efficient data analysis and visualization, we actively govern, and maintain the Vanderlande Qlik Servers and Power BI Premium capacity. In addition, we provide templates, establish a clear workflow, and foster a community of experts
Tasks & Responsibilities- Own and manage an end-to-end Data & Analytics project, from defining requirements to delivering business value
- Research, design, and implement improvements or new capabilities within the AI Workbench
- Develop data-driven and AI solutions using tools such as Python, SQL, and Azure-based platforms
- Analyze, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources to create reliable and scalable data products
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align solutions with business needs
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously optimize solutions by applying best practices in AI, data engineering, and lifecycle management
- You have proven experience in Python & SQL
- You have a proactive mindset and show ownership
- You are comfortable navigating complex environments and can identify core problems
- You find pride in developing robust, yet versatile, highly testable and deployable solutions
