Engineers at Vanderlande use CAD tools every day. This is often a complex task and getting help with designing can be quite challenging. When questions arise (about commands, workflows, or unexpected behavior) support is often outside the tool itself. In this internship you will explore the exciting intersection of AI technology and CAD-tooling. You will investigate how AI can be an in-tool assistant, helping users exactly when and where they need it.
Throughout the internship, you will investigate suitable AI models, experiment with interaction methods, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand real user needs. The assignment culminates in building a functional proof-of-concept that demonstrates how AI can enhance user experience and productivity for engineering professionals. This project is ideal for someone eager to combine technical skills with creativity and user- centric thinking.
