Context and overview:
The next generation of commercial aircraft is scheduled for flight in the late 2030s.
In this internship, you will be responsible for the design and demonstration of a position sensor acquisition chain, implementing the latest and greatest components from Texas Instruments. You will focus on building a proof-of-concept showing size/power/accuracy improvements versus the solutions used today in the avionics industry and present this in front of an expert group in TI.
Subject and expectation:
The goal of the internship will be first to get familiar with Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) units on a system level, to then focus on its acquisition chains. Specifically, you will design, test and demonstrate an acquisition and conditioning chain for a position sensor. This system could be composed of operational amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, filters and power supplies. Your goal will be to minimize the overall solution size while reducing power consumption and maintaining an acceptable acquisition resolution.
Your work will start with the definition of specifications, continue with architecture/ block diagram proposals, and finish with the design and validation of your PCB. Any step can have iterations depending on TI’s and our avionics customer’s feedback, as you may be involved in customer meetings.
The team you will join:
In this role, you will be part of the European Aerospace and Defense sales team and based in the Texas Instruments office in Paris – Issy les Moulineaux. This team is composed of Field application engineers, responsible for the technical support of key customers in the region, and sales representatives, responsible for their commercial support. During your internship, you will also be connected to TI’s worldwide product lines and system experts.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
- Fluent French and English skills (at least B2)
- Solid presentation skills
- Basic understanding of schematics, layouts and digital components
- Knowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)
- Experience with at least one PCB design tool (Altium, Allegro, …)

Texas Instruments Compensation & Benefits Highlights
The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Texas Instruments and has not been reviewed or approved by Texas Instruments.
-
Strong & Reliable Incentives — Profit sharing and annual bonuses are portrayed as a meaningful, formula-linked upside that can materially lift total earnings in strong years. An employee stock purchase plan with a discount further reinforces recurring, wealth-building incentives.
-
Retirement Support — A 401(k) match is described as a stable core benefit, with some references to additional legacy employer contributions and even pension-like elements for certain cohorts. This framing positions long-term savings support as a notable part of the overall rewards package.
-
Healthcare Strength — Medical coverage is depicted as broadly comprehensive, with preventive care and access to HSA/FSA features cited as value-adds. Company-seeded HSA contributions are repeatedly characterized as an important offset to the plan design for those enrolled.
