Job Requirements:
- Coordinate the shipment of international orders, including ocean, air, and inland transportation.
- Prepare and verify export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificates of Origin, and other shipping documents.
- Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, and vendors to schedule pickups and negotiate pricing and terms.
- Ensure accuracy of purchase orders and shipping details to prevent delays or compliance issues.
- Utilize HTSUS and CFR 19 to verify product classifications and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support budgeting and cost tracking for freight and distribution expenses.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding shipment status, documentation, and logistics processes.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Sales, Engineering, and Accounting to ensure alignment and timely execution of deliveries.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
- Apply and interpret Incoterms 2020 in international trade transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in export logistics, documentation, and international transportation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of HTS codes, customs regulations, and international compliance standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working cross-functionally.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Incoterms and global shipping practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics (Solomon).
- Knowledge of free trade agreements (e.g., USMCA, KUFTA,etc).
- Familiarity with technical documentation such as MTRs (Material Test Reports) and COCs (Certificates of Conformance).
- Previous experience working with freight forwarders, truckers, and international vendors.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Must be able to navigate stairs and sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
- Must be able to work extended hours as required to meet deadlines.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor and not pose a safety risk to self or others while performing company duties.
