Responsible for carrying out the tracking and billing process for import and export shipments from/to the United States under Air and Ocean transport modes, as well as providing the best attention, follow-up, and complete visibility to the account managers or international team members.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with the standards and tasks of the operating process.
- Provide Tracking from one point to another, fulfilling assigned tasks, "milestones" and follow-up with carriers and agents.
- Check that the shipments comply with the data quality, (that all mandatory fields in CargoWise are duly completed).
- Keep the Cargowise Dashboard tracking of the shipments up to date.
- Manage a good work environment.
- Create your work role always maintaining the order and control of your shipments.
- Work efficiently.
- Work under the parameters and standards of quality and compliance of the company.
- Report immediately to your manager or supervisor results or problems related to daily coordination.
- Manage and keep up-to-date customer reports according to their needs.
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- 1 year of related experience in international import/export forwarding
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in Spanish/English both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- CargoWise Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in customs administration, International Commerce, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Knowledge of export and import customs procedures - AES/ITBonds
- Generate and cultivate relationships with customers, internal and external.
- Creative, innovative and proactive
Physical Requirements:
- Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
- Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
