The International & Domestic Sales Manager – Polymers will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and managing customer relationships for polymer products including PP, PE, PET, TPE, PVC, HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, SAN, EVA, ABS, DOP, and related materials across domestic and selected Latin American (LATAM) markets. The role requires independent management of the full sales cycle, from business development and customer acquisition to order closure and after-sales support, while operating remotely.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within polymer trading, targeting converters, compounders, manufacturers, and industrial buyers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in terms of sales volume, revenue, and profit margins.
- Develop strategic sales plans for domestic territories and intra-regional cross-border markets in Latin America (e.g., Mercosur, Pacific Alliance).
- Build and strengthen distribution networks and strategic partnerships with local distributors and freight forwarders.
- Expand market share by identifying untapped sectors and customer segments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industrial clients.
- Conduct virtual client meetings, presentations, and product discussions to promote company offerings.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt response to inquiries and issue resolution.
- Manage key accounts and identify opportunities for repeat business and upselling.
- Lead negotiations related to pricing, commercial terms, and contracts, factoring in regional trade agreements.
- Manage complete order lifecycle including quotation, confirmation, documentation, invoicing, and payment follow-up.
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, customs brokers (despachantes), and operations teams for timely dispatch and delivery.
- Handle regional import/export documentation, customs requirements, and shipping coordination for international orders.
- Monitor regional polymer market dynamics, global crude oil/monomer trends, regional pricing benchmarks, and competitor activities.
- Analyze demand trends and customer requirements across sectors.
- Submit regular sales reports including forecasts, pipeline updates, and business development progress.
- Recommend market strategies to enhance profitability and competitiveness.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
- MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in polymer sales, chemical trading, or industrial raw material sales within the LATAM region.
- Strong exposure to domestic and international polymer markets.
- Experience handling B2B industrial sales and business development.
- Familiarity with regional import/export procedures, customs regulations, and international trade documentation.
- For Brazil: Native/Fluent Portuguese and Advanced English. Spanish is a strong plus.
- For Mexico & South America: Native/Fluent Spanish and Advanced English. Portuguese is a strong plus.
