International relations | international business internship: government and external affairs

Introduction

The Government and External Affairs department manages ASML's relation with governments worldwide and advances the company's business objectives towards these governments.
 

Your assignment

We have an interesting opportunity for a dynamic internship which will cover a broad range of activities: conducting open-source research on public policy topics, contribute to drafting strategic messaging, think along on information management within the department and on public policy positioning, take part in meetings with internal stakeholders. The internship offers exposure to the full spectrum of Government and External Affairs activities: public policy, geopolitics, advocacy and public private partnerships. 
This is a bachelor and master apprentice internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 5 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is May 1, 2025.
 

Your profile

To be a perfect fit for this assignment, you:

• Have a background in International Relations, Economics, Law, European Studies, Political Science, International Business, or something related;

• Have interest in current international developments (e.g. geopolitics, business climate, international relations, public discussions);

• Have analytical skills, legal analysis, easy in writing;

• Have an entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do attitude;

• Have great communication skills (written and speaking) in English;

• Have experience in an advocacy work environment is a plus.

 
Other requirements you need to meet

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

• You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
