International Private Bank, UHNW Wealth Advisor, China Market (based in Singapore), Executive Director

Join our International Private Bank, Wealth Advisory team in Singapore as an Executive Director where you works in close partnership with our International Trust Services (ITS) to support client's needs for trust and fiduciary services. We seek a high caliber candidate to join our team.
As part of our team of specialists, the Wealth Advisor, through a comprehensive understanding of our clients' wealth and objectives, helps ensure that their estate, income, tax, philanthropic, and other planning needs on a global basis are identified and met.
Within Asia, the Wealth Advisory team also act as a key member of the integrated team together with Bankers, Investors and Lending Advisors to understand a client or prospect's wealth planning concerns and needs and share their experience and insights on these issues. Wealth Advisors do not provide formal tax or legal advice nor do they charge advisory fees. Wealth Advisors interface with the client's own independent tax or legal advisors trustees and relevant service providers to liaise, coordinate and organize documentation in preparation of client meetings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as an advisor to clients on personal planning matters with respect to a client's global wealth, assets and activities
- Assist and support Ultra High Net Worth families and clients in navigating their goals and wealth advisory needs including, but not limited to, intergenerational succession planning, structuring and estate planning, relocation and immigration, asset protection, family governance and philanthropic aspects of wealth
- Identify and articulate client needs, and meet those needs through a range of tools including the use of trusts, foundations, companies, private funds, partnerships, contracts, insurance solutions
- Facilitate the design and implementation of solutions with internal partners as well as external parties such as law firms, independent service providers and brokers
- Provide internal training, coaching and guidance to junior staff and sharing of trends and best practices with client advisors
- Travel with Bankers to see clients and prospects
- Supports coordination of sales efforts among Bankers, Investors, Lending Advisors and Trust and Estate Officers
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Bachelor Degree in law, tax or accounting or other related discipline with minimum 12 years of working experience in taxation, estate planning, trusts and transactional matters
- Cross-border planning experience, particularly experience with offshore structures commonly used as planning tools with keen interest to follow trends and developments in this area internationally
- Expertise in local laws and regulations on topic such as taxation, trusts, foreign investment, and succession and inheritance
- Required to have a general working knowledge of trust and company administration matters and procedures
- Strong knowledge of individual, fiduciary, corporate and partnership income tax laws, with ability to apply that knowledge to client-specific planning situations;
- Ability to evaluate wealth transfer goals of clients and prospects, identify which of the available techniques are appropriate, explain opportunities to clients and prospects and work with clients and prospects, and their other advisors, to determine best ways to implement
- Has a strong risks & control mindset
- Ability to partner with clients' other advisors (principally their attorneys and accountants)
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and client relationship-building / and marketing skills are required for success in this role
- Fluency in Mandarin is required as this role will be covering clients from China
Preferred Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities:
- Appropriate local regulatory qualification and licenses preferred
- Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines
- Demonstrated understanding of other wealth management disciplines, including investing and credit
