About Technip Energies

Technip Energies is a leading engineering and technology company serving the energy transition, with expertise in LNG, hydrogen, carbon capture, sustainable chemistry and decarbonisation solutions. Through innovation and collaboration, we are committed to accelerating the transition towards a low-carbon future.

The Net Zero Teesside Power Project is one of the UK's most significant decarbonisation initiatives, combining gas-fired power generation with carbon capture technology to provide dispatchable low-carbon electricity while supporting the UK's net-zero ambitions.

Role Overview

Technip Energies is seeking an experienced and proactive International Mobility Specialist to support the mobilisation, relocation, and ongoing management of international personnel assigned to the Net Zero Teesside Power Project.

This position can either be on a full time basis, but could also be suitable for someone looking for 30 hours per week, although daily site attendance is required.

Working closely with HR, Recruitment, Project Management, and external service providers, the successful candidate will ensure that all international assignments are managed efficiently and compliantly. The role will be responsible for immigration processes, assignment administration, relocation support, tax and social security coordination, and ensuring a positive employee experience for expatriate and inbound workers.

This position is ideally suited to a highly organised mobility professional with experience supporting large-scale engineering, construction, industrial, or energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with immigration specialists, legal advisors, and government agencies where required.
  • Ensure all right-to-work documentation is maintained and compliant with UK legislation.
  • Monitor visa expiry dates and manage renewal processes proactively.

  • Coordinate relocation services including accommodation, travel, temporary housing, and settling-in support.
  • Support employees and their families throughout the relocation process.
  • Provide cultural and practical guidance to international assignees relocating to the UK.
  • Resolve mobility-related issues efficiently and professionally.

Mobility Administration

  • Prepare assignment documentation including assignment letters, cost projections and compensation information.
  • Maintain accurate employee mobility records and reporting systems.
  • Ensure mobility data is updated within HR systems and project records.
  • Produce regular reports on assignment status, costs, compliance and workforce demographics.

Tax, Payroll and Social Security Coordination

  • Liaise with payroll, finance and external tax advisors concerning expatriate payroll requirements.
  • Support compliance with international tax and social security obligations.
  • Assist with assignment-related cost tracking and budgeting.
  • Support the implementation of tax equalisation or tax protection policies where applicable.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Recruitment, HR, Project Management and department managers to forecast mobility requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with external mobility providers and relocation partners.
  • Support workforce planning activities associated with project mobilisation and demobilisation phases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the mobility function.

Health, Safety and Compliance

  • Promote Technip Energies' commitment to health, safety, environmental and ethical standards.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and project procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee data and comply with GDPR requirements.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews relating to immigration and international assignments.

  • Knowledge of UK immigration and right-to-work requirements.
  • Experience coordinating international assignments within a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of mobility administration and compliance processes.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems.

  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Professional, discreet and trustworthy.
  • Adaptable and able to work independently within a dynamic project environment.

Working Arrangements

  • Based primarily on Teesside, supporting the Net Zero Teesside Power Project. For internal applicants, there may be an opportunity to work from other T.EN UK sites.
  • Full time or Part-time position working 30 hours per week, with flexibility around working patterns to meet project and business requirements.
  • Occasional travel may be required to Technip Energies offices, supplier locations, or project partner sites.

Please note that this position is only open to candidates holding the “right to work” in the UK. Due to the junior nature of the role, no internal mobility allowance is available.
