International Logistics Manager

Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote. 

The International Logistics Manager is responsible for developing and executing global transportation strategies that ensure the efficient movement of finished goods to international customers while balancing cost, service, and compliance requirements. This role manages ocean freight operations, carrier and freight forwarder relationships, export documentation processes, and transportation performance to support reliable customer delivery and inventory flow.
The position partners closely with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Procurement, and external logistics providers to optimize export execution, resolve supply chain disruptions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Logistics Manager monitors carrier performance, freight market trends, and international trade regulations to mitigate risk, maintain compliance, and provide strategic recommendations to leadership. Additionally, the role leads transportation sourcing activities, manages freight spend, and participates in cross-functional projects supporting business growth, new market expansion, and customer requirements.

A Day in the Life...

• International freight management, budget, distribution rates and carrier contracts
• Export process and documentation
• Knowledge of FMC (Federal Maritime Commission), AES, NVOCCs, Freight Forwarders, Incoterms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Cost Management: Support the forecasting, cost analysis, tracking and reporting of transportation annual operations cost budget and associated risks. Identify and recommend cost savings initiatives to ensure overall targets are met.
• Work collaboratively and foster strong working relationships within the organization including Sales, Customer Operations, Warehousing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Co-Pack and Planning. Assist other departments with coordination of shipments on ad-hoc basis.
• New Initiatives / Project Management: serve as part of cross functional project teams that develops and implements new products and packages to meet innovation and growth plans.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree or an accredited supply chain certification a plus • 10+ years of transportation operations management experience preferably CPG operations; experience in carrier procurement / management • Demonstrated experience and understanding of carrier operations and costs ideally within beverages and food industry • Strong carrier management experience managing multiple modes including Truckload (Dry & Reefer), Bulk Tanker (Liquid & Dry), Intermodal, LTL (Dry & Reefer) and Small Parcel • Demonstrated experience building a primarily asset-based carrier portfolio with minimal reliance on freight Brokers / Non-Asset based transportation providers • Experience working as part of cross functional project team and taking lead functional role on key projects • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Knowledgeable on DOT and FSMA rules and regulations • Experience Managing Carrier Claims • Minimal Travel Required (~10%)

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required) Master's Degree (Preferred)

Annual Salary:

$105,800 - $132,200
