Position Summary
The International Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing and optimizing the international transportation of products. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products, maintaining compliance with international regulations, and continuously improving logistics processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Communication
Serve as the primary contact for international clients and Vantage Affiliates regarding material availability, product information, sales orders, shipments, and order status.
Provide updates on shipment status and resolve issues or delays.
Maintain communication with shippers, carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal teams.
2. Order Processing & Shipment Coordination
Receive and process international shipping orders.
Monitor inbound material to meet customer expectations.
Schedule and coordinate pickups, deliveries, and transport modes.
Ensure proper documentation is prepared and obtain additional documents as needed.
3. Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and verify international shipping documents.
Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
Handle export and import documentation.
4. Tracking & Problem Resolution
Monitor and track international shipments through delivery.
Address delays, damage, lost cargo, or other logistics issues.
Manage customer complaints and initiate claims processes.
5. Pricing & Quoting
Confirm pricing for material with Sales/Pricing Team.
Provide quotes for international shipping services.
Coordinate with freight forwarders or logistics partners for competitive rates.
6. System & Record Management
Enter and maintain accurate data in logistics and ERP systems.
Keep shipment records for auditing and future reference.
7. Collaboration with Internal Teams
Coordinate with sales, warehouse, finance, and procurement departments.
Ensure logistics align with customer expectations and inventory goals.
8. Reporting
Track order processing time, past due orders, and order status.
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, freight management customer service, or a related role; Chemical Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Talents
Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
Working Conditions
This position requires less than 10% travel.
