Responsibilities

• Sell film and television content (first runs and library) to international broadcasters and platforms outside of the domestic territory.
• Participate in the creation of short to long-term strategy of broadcaster and platform sales, including creating sales estimates and projections, deciding on sales planning in coordination with internal teams (e.g., timing, marketing materials, market/festival attendance), and helping build and structure a new sales department.
• Negotiate licensing deals with third parties (broadcasters and platforms) in every territory outside of the domestic territory.
• Develop relationships in every territory with key broadcasters and platforms, and find new revenue streams (e.g., airlines, AVOD, transactional).
• Attend all major TV and film markets and festivals (e.g., MipTV and MipCom, Cannes Film Festival, European Film Market, American Film Market, Asia TV Forum, Toronto International Film Festival, Natpe Miami, Natpe Budapest).
• Liaise with internal departments to create and optimize processes, and to ensure proper functioning of the activity (all rights film sales, marketing, delivery and post-production, legal, accounting, finance).
• Present sales projections, strategy, and planning to upper management.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel (domestically and internationally) 40% of the time
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field, or foreign equivalent, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an International Film & TV Sales-related occupation.
• Experience in Film sales deal negotiation;
• Pre-existing relationships with broadcasters and streamers;
• Understanding of landscape of broadcasters and streamers;
• Deep knowledge of current and recent film and TV business landscape;
• Experience in Film and TV series value appraisal;
• Proficient in:
• data management software;
• Financing Modelling;
• People management;
• Budget creation; and
• Experience building a new team from the ground up.

Our target salary range for this role is between $120,000 and $125,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
