Job Description:

The Job/What You'll Do: 

As a Sales Consultant at AssetMark you will partner with a senior sales team member to drive product sales and strategic initiatives. Your primary focus will be on building and nurturing strong relationships with Investment Advisors to support their success and growth.

 

In this role, you will apply sales training to enhance the advisor's experience in your territory, uncover new opportunities, identify advisor needs, and increase production. Additionally, you will provide point-of-sale consultation on product details, performance, and investment allocation to enable Advisors to have deeper conversations with their clients. You will also serve as a key point of contact to assist advisors with various needs that arise within their business, promote territory initiatives, and support the needs of your Ensemble Team as they arise. 

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $45,000-$70,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.

Additionally, this position is eligible for an annualized Sales Incentive Plan target of up to $45,000.  The achievement of the Sales Incentive Plan target will be based on performance to clearly stated goals and metrics and at the discretion of AssetMark management.

Total Compensation: Total Target Compensation range for this position is between $80,000 - $115,000

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office location in either Chicago, IL or Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactive and continuous outreach to Advisors within your assigned territory to promote platform updates and enhancements, while developing and enhancing the sales pipeline during Advisor interactions
  • Assess each advisor’s unique business needs and client circumstances to educate and guide them in evaluating platform solutions that best align with their goals
  • Proactively communicate with advisors by asking insightful questions to identify additional needs and highlight expanded partnership opportunities  
  • Keep up to date with relevant investment information, including platform updates, marketing materials, operational changes, industry news, and market events 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to foster a supportive environment and work independently with self-motivation
  • Proficient in using Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage pipelines and territories effectively
  • Experienced in evaluating managed money platforms and investment solutions

 Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance field 
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry 
  • Active FINRA licenses: Series 6, 63, and 65 and/or Series 7 and 66 are required
