Position Summary

We hire a new colleague responsible for Internal tax advisory in one of the most dynamic groups listed on London Stock Exchange, but based mainly in the Czech Republic. Unique opportunity to become part of great team of former big4 advisors managing the entire Eurowag group in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzes tax implications of various in-house projects and communicates impacts to all stakeholders (business, management, finance team)
  • Manages and further develops internal tax technology
  • Prepares CIT compliance for the Czech entities (4-5 CIT returns annually) and random review VAT (and other) tax returns
  • Closely cooperates with Accounting team on various tax topics (identification non-deductible expenses, calculation of tax provisions, monitoring financing costs, assistance with CIT estimates, etc.)
  • Manages external tax service providers (big4 mainly)
  • Monitors internal transfer pricing calculations and its impact on tax position of CZ group entities
  • Manages CZ tax audits and other communication with tax authorities
  • Monitors development of local legislation framework (including OECD updates)
  • If interested, the scope of activities can be further extended by other countries and high-level tax monitoring (e.g. Slovakia, Spain or Poland)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in similar position (either in-house tax position or tax advisory)
  • Professional tax advisor certification as an advantage
  • Broad technical knowledge of Czech taxation rules
  • Solid CZ GAAP Financial Accounting knowledge and willingness to (learn) independently operate in SAP system
  • Strong analytical and independent problem solving skills
  • Understanding of Financial Statements & closing activities
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills verbal in Czech and English
  • Ability to set priorities and work under time pressure with can-do attitude
  • MS Office skills, advanced level in MS Excel
