It's an exciting time to join our Timaru branch. We've expanded our product range and now supply carbon steel alongside our established stainless steel and aluminium — creating new growth opportunities across the region.

We're looking for a motivated Internal Sales Representative to be the first point of contact for customers, delivering great service while preparing quotes, processing orders, and spotting opportunities to help customers succeed.

Full-time, office-based role with stable hours and long-term career potential. Monday–Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm


What You'll Do

  • Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email, and at the trade counter
  • Prepare quotes and process orders accurately
  • Follow up quotes and identify sales opportunities
  • Build strong, lasting customer relationship
  • Support the sales team with business development
  • Assist with stock enquiries and product sourcing
  • Work with warehouse and operations to ensure smooth order fulfilment
  • Provide general branch and admin support

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in Internal Sales, Customer Service, Trade Sales, or a similar customer-facing role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience preparing quotes and processing orders
  • Good computer skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and thrive when things get busy
  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence
  • Experience in metals, manufacturing, building products, or trade sectors is advantageous
  • Currently residing in NZ or holding a valid work visa
  • Willing to complete a pre-employment medical and drug screen
