The Role

About this Opportunity: 
The Internal Sales Consultant is responsible for serving as a strategic partner in developing and maximizing business relationships in an assigned territory for Orion.  The Internal Consultant is responsible for increasing recruitment and sales activity in partnership with the territory team which includes the Senior Advisor Consultant (SAC), Advisor Growth Consultant (AGC) and Business Development Consultant (BDC).

Location Status:
It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work as a Hybrid employee, with three (3) or more days each week required on-site at one of the listed office locations.

 

Candidates should be located within a commutable distance to an office. Internal candidates currently aligned to an Orion office location may be given preference; however, internal candidates with varying work arrangements may be considered based on experience and business needs. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
 
In this role, you’ll get to: 

  • Work closely with the territory team to develop and execute an appropriate business plan to maximize territorial sales, including assessing current state of assigned territory to identify opportunities for new business in order to maintain and further sales cycle.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Financial Advisors, their office staff, industry partners and contacts to help develop their business.

  • Establish a thorough understanding of the investment management industry and utilizes this knowledge to position our products and services effectively.

  • Assist advisors in closing end-investor business.

  • Make proactive outbound calls to investigate or identify potential sales opportunities.

  • Schedule quality appointments weekly for your Senior Advisor Consultant, Advisor Growth Consultant, or Business Development Consultant to meet with producing or potentially producing Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and Financial Advisors.  

  • Receive incoming calls via sales queue and answers questions accurately and professionally.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, advisor profiles and sales opportunities in Salesforce.

  • Follow-up on appointments with your territory team, conference leads and referrals of qualified representatives to uncover business opportunities and accelerate sales process.

  • Provides website tours/demos to promote company products and services.

  • Assist advisors in analyzing their client's investment objectives to recommend and determine appropriate investment strategies to meet their needs.

  • Serve as a product expert on our technology tools and investment solutions.  Keep advisors apprised of market and product changes, and enhancements.

  • Promote company sponsored events and maximizes time with clients during the event.

  • Participate in leading breakout or round table discussions regarding Brinker and Orion strategies during representative visits and company sponsored meetings.

  • Develop and implement targeted sales campaigns to drive sales.

  • Maintain thorough understanding of all strategies and model to assist advisors on choosing correct models to meet client needs.

  • Read daily, weekly, and quarterly commentary produced by internal Portfolio Management team and participates in internal education.

  • Understand how the OPS and Brinker products differ from the competition and determine the most effective sales strategies.

  • Handle any issues or challenges that arise with financial advisors and advocate to resolution.

  • Monitor sales performance and activity metrics and adjust meet sales goal and key performance indicators.

 
We’re looking for talent who:  

  • Has one year of customer service or inside sales experience  

  • Has experience working within the Financial Services industry 

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance or related field  

  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization 

Licensing Requirements:

  • This position requires a Series 65 license or both Series 7 and 66 licenses. If the required license(s) are not held at the time of hire, they must be obtained within 90 days of the start date. Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of employment in accordance with company policy.
