The Role
Own quality assurance across apprenticeship programmes by sampling learner work in Bud Systems, observing teaching and assessment, conducting mock end-point assessments, interviewing learners and employers, and providing developmental feedback to coaches. Maintain sampling plans, support compliance with Awarding Organisation and EPAO expectations, and help raise delivery standards. WHO WE ARE

Apprentify Group is a portfolio of six companies, each with its own culture, personality and people. Across the group we support around 10,000 learners a year and we're scaling fast, and quality has been non-negotiable since our Grade 1 Ofsted rating in September 2022. We need someone ready to own sampling, feedback and coach development across our digital, data, AI, cyber and tech apprenticeship programmes, keeping delivery at the standard that earned us that grade.

THE QUICK FACTS

Location: Remote-first (occasional travel for team events or customer meetings)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Start: Immediate or near-term
DBS check required for all candidates
Scope: Quality assurance across all apprenticeship standards

LIFE IN THE ROLE

The real work: Most of your time is spent sampling in Bud Systems, observing Development Coaches deliver teaching and assessment, and turning what you see into feedback that actually changes practice. You'll run Mock End-Point Assessments, interview apprentices and employers, and keep the sampling plan on track across a live, growing portfolio of standards. It moves fast, but the pace here is about depth, not just speed.

The environment: We work remote-first. You won't be micromanaged, but you will be expected to own your sampling plan and the quality of the feedback you give. Apprentify is a scale-up; processes are still being built and things evolve quickly. The people who thrive here see that as an opportunity, not a problem.

TEAM & CULTURE

You'll join the Quality team, working closely with Development Coaches, Curriculum and Operations to keep delivery aligned to Awarding Organisation and EPAO expectations.
Reports to: Quality Manager

THE HONEST HARD BIT

You'll spend a lot of your week telling coaches what needs to improve, and that only works if they trust you enough to actually change. Sampling targets, observations, Mock EPAs and CPD delivery all compete for the same finite hours, and as we scale, standards and requirements keep shifting under you. You'll need to hold the line on quality while staying genuinely useful to the people you're assessing.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

✔ You've IQA'd within apprenticeship standards and know what good sampling looks like
✔ You've delivered and assessed apprenticeship standards yourself
✔ You've observed teaching and learning and can turn it into feedback that lands
✔ You have a track record of raising delivery standards and developing staff
✔ You're comfortable operating in a startup environment, ambiguity included

This is NOT for you if:

✘ You need a step-by-step guide for every task
✘ You prefer slow, predictable work
✘ You see quality assurance as box-ticking rather than genuine improvement
✘ You avoid difficult conversations with delivery staff
✘ You need a fully structured corporate environment to do your best work
