Daikin Applied is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist – Strategic Programs to play a critical role in delivering the company’s internal communications strategy. This position provides strategic execution support to Daikin Applied’s Internal Communications Leader and helps shape how employees stay informed, aligned, and inspired.

This role is essential in bringing our internal communications strategy to life, from developing content to supporting executive communications, helping to manage employee-facing channels, and executing key companywide events like Town Halls and organizational announcements for strategic initiatives. Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN

What you will do:

Strategic Communications Execution & Program Support

· Partner closely with Daikin’s Internal Communications Leader to execute the internal communications strategy across the enterprise.

· Support planning, message development, logistics, and follow-through for executive Town Halls, leadership communications, and large-scale companywide initiatives.

· Represent the internal communications team in cross-functional meetings and help translate priorities into clear and compelling communications.

Content Development & Storytelling

· Write, edit, and produce high-impact content for a variety of channels — including emails, town hall scripts, presentations, intranet stories, talking points, leader messages, and employee profiles.

· Tailor content to executive audiences, manager audiences, and employee stakeholders with clarity and precision.

· Maintain a consistent brand voice while simplifying complex topics for broad internal audiences.

· Support internal communications campaigns that align with Daikin’s strategic goals, culture, and transformation initiatives.

Cross-Functional Coordination

· Partner cross-functionally to ensure timely, accurate, and aligned communications.

· Coordinate with creative teams, writers, and external partners on deliverables, timelines, and messaging consistency.

· Help manage communications workflows to ensure the organization’s internal communications needs are met proactively and efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field

· 5–8 years of professional communications experience (internal comms, executive comms, corporate comms, or related field)

· Strong writing and editing portfolio showcasing the ability to craft executive-level content

· Experience supporting high-visibility internal events (e.g., town halls, leadership updates, enterprise programs)

· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and represent the team with professionalism

· Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint/Teams, and communications platforms

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in B2B, manufacturing, tech, or large organizational environments

· Background in change communications or enterprise-wide transformation initiatives

· Comfort working with executives and senior leaders

· Ability to simplify complex topics into clear, actionable messages

· The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $59,500K - $95,000K. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
