The Role

About us

At Dyson, we believe in the relentless pursuit of improvement, raising the bar and achieving new heights.   We’ve spent decades pioneering inventions and continually improving. It’s about inventing the future. Our philosophy remains the same as it was when James Dyson invented the first cyclonic vacuum cleaner. We remain family owned. We plot our path, unshackled from conventional thinking. At Dyson, we constantly strive to find pioneering ways to solve everyday problems.

About the role

Based in Singapore, you will report to the Global Head of Internal Communications and be a key member of the team that shapes how we communicate and engage with our employees across the world. You will be joining us at a pivotal moment, as we elevate our internal communications strategy and deepen integration across the organisation.
You will help define and manage Dyson’s internal communications and engagement agenda, inspiring employees and connecting them to leadership, business priorities, and each other. You’ll play an active part in bringing our strategy and employee experience to life.
As a strategic, creative communicator, you blend big-picture vision with disciplined execution. Organised and adept at project management, you skilfully navigate complex challenges, shifting deadlines, and problem-solve proactively. You are confident collaborating with senior leaders and set the standard for communications best practices, ensuring Dyson’s communications are impactful, consistent, and inspiring.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain internal communications standards and best practice across Dyson, supporting the creation of a centre of excellence.
  • Guide and advise on internal communications, championing standards, quality control, and continuous process improvement.
  • Oversee the content review processes, ensuring internal comms are on-brand, relevant, meaningful, and accessible.

Content and Channels

  • Support the development and execution of the internal communications content strategy and narrative development, ensuring global alignment.
  • Write, edit, and manage the delivery of enterprise-level announcements, campaigns, and change communications.
  • Maintain the internal communications content calendar, balancing proactive and reactive messaging.
  • Lead key leadership communications and engagement initiatives; advise and support senior leaders in their communications.
  • Collaborate with Product Communications teams to bring our product launches to life internally – telling the story of our technologies and behind-the-scenes perspectives and celebrating our people and the Dyson spirit.
  • Manage and optimise internal communication channels for maximum engagement,  using data and feedback for continuous improvements.
  • Lead internal campaigns end-to-end, from ideation or business problem through to implementation.
  • Support crisis and change communications in partnership with HR, external comms, and other functions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key internal stakeholders, supporting their communication needs.
  • Provide communications support to managers and senior leaders, helping them communicate effectively with their teams.

About you

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience communications, ideally five years in an internal or employee communications or relevant role, in a global business.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a strong ability to influence and partner at all levels, including C-suite.
  • First class communication skills, written and verbal, and a natural creative storyteller.
  • Proven track record dealing with short deadlines and working in high pressure situations to drive outcomes in the best interest of the company.
  • A sound understanding internal communications channels and digital technologies to support in effective communications delivery to reach employees at different levels and areas of the organisation.
  • A creative and innovative thinker who strives for continuous improvement and quality.
  • Is proactive and has a ‘get things done’ attitude with high levels of resilience and drive, able to see the strategic big picture but also to roll sleeves up and get into the detail.
  • Energetic, engaging with ability to motivate and inspire in a matrixed environment.
  • Assertive, decisive and prepared to see through plans - and yet flexible around change and comfortable with ambiguity, a quick and agile learner.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally where required.

What We Do

At Dyson we are focused on solving the problems that others have ignored; solving them first using our technology and ingenuity. In order to achieve this we need to pioneer technologies that are different and authentic. This is the core of what we do and who we are. We must strive to create the future, every single day by developing new things, different things, things that go against the grain with a diverse and global team of ingenious minds. Dyson employs over 14,000 people and is present in more than 80 countries. And while we are growing fast we want Dyson to remain a start-up in spirit with the freedom of experimentation and learning, constantly reinventing our products as well as reinventing how we work, how we sell and how we support our owners. At the same time we are working through the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson Award and Dyson Institute to inspire future engineers and pioneering a new approach to engineering education. Underlining everything we do in this diverse environment is the need to always show respect, supporting each other as one team to overcome whatever challenges we encounter. We drive empowerment, development and equality in an inclusive environment for our people around the world. The future doesn’t just happen, we look to make it happen, to achieve leaps through pioneering new ideas
