Job Description:

Internal Communications Manager – Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

Bupa Place, Salford Quays M50 3SP or London / Staines, flexible, hybrid

Fixed Term circa 13 months

Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Salary £46,000- £57,500 depending on experience

The role

You’ll support the design and delivery of our internal communications strategies to engage our UK Insurance people in Bupa’s purpose, strategy and values.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • You’ll work closely with the Head of Internal Communications for Insurance and Functions to deliver the internal communications strategy.
  • Help transform our internal communications to simplify our channels and shift the focus to two-way engagement.
  • Empower and support leaders and people managers to be effective communicators and help their teams do their best work.
  • Inspire colleagues to deliver on our ambition to be the world’s most customer-centric healthcare company.
  • Drive colleague pride and advocacy in our brand, products and services.
  • Support with the day-to-day management of internal communications channels.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to build comms plans, produce content and measure impact.
  • Deliver internal events including leadership meetings, all employee roadshows and visibility plans for the Executive Team.
  • Work closely with other colleagues with communications responsibilities to ensure a consistent colleague experience.
  • Work closely with the People team on key initiatives and campaigns.
  • Help engage UK Insurance colleagues in our sustainability agenda and opportunities to get involved.

You

  • Brilliant internal communications experience, able to hit the ground running!
  • Bursting with drive, confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Customer-centric mindset and approach.
  • Acts strategically but can respond tactically to meet changing requirements and switch confidently and knowledgeably between priorities.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work across different functions and with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Creative ability to design and deliver internal communications content in a simple and engaging way.
  • Experience of using a range of multi-media communications tools and packages.
  • Experience in event design and delivery.
  • Meticulous planner.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
