Under the direction of IT leadership, the Supervisor, IT Service Desk is responsible for supervising information technology help desk staff to ensure successful operations and performance to user expectations with emphasis on team performance, policy and procedure adherence and continuous process improvement. Success in this role relies on timely incident management, coordinated problem management and robust inventory and configuration management. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that tickets are generated, priorities are assigned, status is communicated, escalations are addressed, and resolutions are provided.
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience relevant to the position.
•A minimum of four (4) years of experience installing and configuring desktop computer systems in a networked computing environment, and in applying diagnostic techniques for problem troubleshooting.
•A minimum of (3) years’ experience providing help desk support.
•Demonstrated facilitation skills to lead meetings, teams, and projects.
•Knowledge of information systems, including office automation and data analysis tools such as MS Office, simulation software, Visio, etc.
•Proficiency with software applications and various operating systems and devices.
•Proficiency in the operation and use of personal computers, utilizing ticketing systems, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management software programs (e.g., the Microsoft Office Suite), Internet browsers, websites, and e-mail systems.
•Availability to work occasionally outside of normal shifts (e.g., 8:00 am to 5:00 pm).
