The Role

WeconnectU is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our Cape Town (based in Somerset West) head office team.

In this office-based role, you’ll be at the forefront of driving our revenue growth by managing the entire sales process of the RedRabbit Inspections and Maintenance Software Solution, from database building to closing deals.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a passion for technology, software-as-a-service and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Knowledge (training to be provided)

  • To have expert knowledge of the RedRabbit software product
  • To have basic knowledge of the WeconnectU Rental Asset Management Software Solution
  • To ensure that you keep up to date with all new feature roll-outs.
  • To have su?icient knowledge of the rental industry, and specifically the inspection and
  • maintenance part of rental management.

Database Management and Lead Generation

  • Build and maintain a high-quality sales database through research and cold prospecting.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calls and outreach campaigns.
  • Screen, qualify and capture all incoming RedRabbit Leads.
  • Organise and manage the sales pipeline e?ectively to ensure consistent lead flow.
  • Hand-over all in-person demo requests to the field-based BDM’s.

Sales Process Execution

  • Conduct online product demos, showcasing the value of WeconnectU’s RedRabbit solution to prospective clients.
  • Develop tailored proposals to meet client needs and close sales to meet or exceed monthly targets.
  • Engage with decision-makers and key stakeholders in Property Management businesses to drive adoption of our RedRabbit solutions.

Sales Administration and Reporting

  • Update and manage customer interactions in the company’s CRM system to ensure accurate records.
  • Maintain detailed and organised sales reports to track progress against targets.
  • Handle all post-sale administrative tasks, including agreements and handovers to onboarding teams.
  • Reporting on competitor and clients trends/feedback, as well as sales process progress (cold calls, demos, closes, etc.)
  • This role will report directly to the WeconnectU Head of Sales.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with the other sales division within WeconnectU and product teams to provide feedback on client needs, industry trends, and product opportunities.
  • Attend training sessions and contribute to developing sales strategies to enhance the sales process.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the SaaS, property or technology sector.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Insightly, HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales software.
  • Highly organised with excellent time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B sales, ideally with Property Management businesses.
  • Knowledge of the property management industry is advantageous.
  • A passion for technology and a solid understanding of SaaS products.
