Job Description

So, who are we?

IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.3m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses. The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next. Join us at IG – the future gets built here.

Your Team:

IG is a global business based in 18+ locations, and the Internal Audit function covers the entire business from 3 main locations. This role will be to assist the global team to perform audits remotely of all global locations.

With the new roles we are a team of 14 with a variety of background and skills. But we a close-knit team that works alongside the business in a collaborative and engaging manner. We are varied individuals but one team with a common goal. We enjoy cooperation and knowledge sharing across the team, regular team building events, exposure to processes and people globally, direct interaction with/exposure to Execs/Senior Managers as key stakeholders.

Your role in the team’s success:

As part of our hybrid working environment, you’ll split your time between home and the office. In this way, you’ll be able to enjoy a better work-life balance and always bring your best self to your role. At the office, you’ll have access to everything you’d expect from a world-class employer, such as a modern working environment, agile spaces, private quiet rooms and breakout areas. Plus, all our offices are located in iconic city centres, close to everything you might need for a rewarding working experience.

Your personal and professional development are important to us. As a company that’s constantly redefining the boundaries of possibility, we’ll challenge you to push yourself, accelerate your ambitions and rise to new levels of excellence. We know that’s a big ask, so we’ll make sure that you’re supported all the way, getting the backing you need and the recognition you deserve. If you connect with our vision and can get behind it, you’ll be rewarded with countless opportunities to experience new things and enhance your abilities. Personal and professional development will be found from the variety of audits, on the job training and the benefit if getting a deeper understanding of the products IG offers.

What you’ll need for this role:

• Proven experience as an effective internal auditor; able to work on multiple audits operating in small teams with people across multiple locations
•  You'll bring relevant professional qualifications and be a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors
•  Sharp and keen to learn, you'll need to be able to audit a variety of different areas and be comfortable conducting essential background research in order to understand the business areas
•  A proactive, open-minded individual who works in a modern IA function where Internal Audit is seen as a consultant and advisor to the business in the area of risks and controls - and not a policing role.

You’re upbeat and enthusiastic, and you have an open mind and a curious, can-do attitude. You, like us, understand the importance of collaboration and are driven to be the best in what you do.

You embody our three core values – to champion the client, learn fast together and raise the bar. You want to be part of a proudly carbon-neutral company that will prioritise your wellbeing and that of the world around you, helping to create a brighter future for all.

If you’re inspired by our way of working and can bring something new to our team of top-notch people, then you’ll find a home here.

How we work

We try to take a thoughtful approach to our ways of working as a company. We follow a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office -- which we think balances the need to collaborate effectively and connect with each other. When it comes to how we deliver, there are 5 things we want everyone to do to drive high performance, better learning and career satisfaction:

  • Lead and Inspire: Drives trust, alignment, and enthusiasm

  • Think Big: Focus on the problems that most impact commercial outcomes

  • Champion the client: Understand and prioritise client's needs

  • Deliver at pace: Push for fast, sustainable growth

  • Raise the bar: Take ownership, be accountable and share feedback

We believe that diversity is vital to success, it fuels creativity, drives innovation and sets us up for global success. We're committed to building teams with a variety of perspectives and skills to help us realise our vision and strategy, that's why we encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences to join us on this journey.
