The Role

On this occasion, we offer an indefinite vacancy/of Internal Auditor in the Internal Audit area. We provide you with the following information:

What is the purpose/mission of the position? Adding value to the business by making the risk visible:

  • Providing risk based and objective assessment, advice and insight by evaluating and improving (by valued added recommendations) the design and effectiveness of processes and internal control system.

What are the tasks that you’ll perform?

Within the internal audit department, you will participate in:

  • Defining the scope of challenging and value-added internal audit engagements

  • Executing the audits according to the internal audit plan (planning, testing of controls, reporting, validation of audit findings closed)

  • Identifying and reporting on shortcomings in current system of internal controls regarding assigned activities, assisting in understanding root causes and proposing appropriate remediation actions

  • Designing and executing testing plans also with the use of CAATs (IDEA tool)

  • The most visible part of our work the audit report: messaging is key

  • Not that fancy but very important is your contribution to the completion of the audit work documentation, ensuring the quality of the work performed complies with IIA and Corporate Audit Servies (CAS) standards.

As part of the Corporate Audit Services of NN Group (CAS) you will collaborate with other CAS auditors in NN Group

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 5 years 'experience in audit (preferably as internal auditor) in the insurance industry (experience of risk management or internal control can be also considered).

  • University degree in ADE/Economics, Finance /Actuarial

  • Fluent in English (we do everything in English)

  • Experience with IDEA, Power BI and Teammate is a plus

  • Certifications: CIA, ACCA (also in progress is a plus)

  • Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Capacity to make correlations and connections among processes (end to end).

  • Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to work independently

  • Strong drive to challenge status quo and look for improvement opportunities

  • Good planning and organizing skills

  • Problem solving and positive attitude
