Job Description:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Major in Accounting, Internal Audit, or Finance is preferred. Working towards CPA/CIA certifications is preferred.
Work Experiences:
- 1-3+ years of experience in the areas of internal audit, public accounting, or relevant business experience.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of all phases of internal audit engagements.
- Thorough understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO standards, GAAP, current audit practices, new legislation and regulatory requirements and internal auditing standards.
- General understanding of business analysis and project management.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create thorough documentation and interface effectively with individuals at various levels.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to support multiple projects and effectively prioritize and manage a large volume of work.
- Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to be flexible regarding scheduling to accommodate project deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Independently perform control walkthroughs and testing to validate the Company’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 within established timeframes.
- Perform a variety of operational audits under the supervision of the project lead, by performing tasks such as planning, execution of audit program and providing input/data analysis for audit reports.
- Analyze complex data, evaluate information, draw logical conclusions to identify improvements to business processes and financial reporting.
- Continuously improve internal audit approaches, tools and methodologies, and productivity.
- Demonstrate teamwork through cooperation with other staff, sharing information, and accepting additional assignments when appropriate.
- Communicate information, suggestions and/or problem issues regarding audit status and critical findings throughout assignments to the Manager.
- Travel up to 10%
