Wawa Internship Program Overview
The Wawa Internship Program offers students hands-on experience in a collaborative corporate environment, where they work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful business projects, and build skills that support their academic and professional growth. Throughout the summer, interns participate in professional development and networking opportunities with fellow interns and company leaders. The program culminates in a capstone presentation, where interns showcase key projects, accomplishments, and the impact of their contributions.
We are currently seeking an intern to join our Internal Audit team for Summer 2027.
What You'll Do
As a Risk Management Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting Wawa's Business Continuity, Asset Protection, and Internal Audit teams. Depending on business needs and team assignments, you may have the opportunity to:
- Support initiatives that strengthen business continuity, risk management, and operational resilience across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects, process improvements, and compliance-related activities.
- Assist with research, analysis, reporting, and documentation to support key business objectives.
- Contribute to Business Continuity program development, helping advance the organization's preparedness and recovery capabilities.
- Support Asset Protection and Internal Audit projects that enhance operational effectiveness and risk mitigation.

Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Spring 2028 and Spring 2030.
- Ability to work onsite at Wawa Corporate Headquarters in Media, PA, four days per week throughout the internship program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Previous internship, project, or leadership experience in audit is preferred.
