FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How does the selection process work? HPI receives inquiries year-round for the internship program and keeps resumes on file for consideration for the upcoming program. Upon reviewing the resumes, a pool of prospective candidates is selected and provided the application. The application process begins in February and most positions are filled by March. Hiring decisions are made based on cover letters and resumes, the application, an interview (phone or in-person), and references (if applicable).

When does the program start and end? The fall program will be between August and December and last between six and eight weeks.

What are the working hours? Working hours typically range from 20-28 hours per week, typically Monday through Thursday, 8:00/9:00 AM until 3:00/4:00 PM, with one hour for lunch (lunch break not included in hours worked). Depending on workload, some interns may work slightly different hours.

Have Interns ever been hired as full-time employees before? Yes! In the ideal case, our interns benefit as much as we do from the program. HPI is always looking for rising talent and new heavy hitters in our industry.
