Measurement instrumentation and controls development: You actively participate in the development of measurement instrumentation and controls development of our direct air capture testing infrastructure.
Automation software support: You assist with the development of our automation software to ensure consistency between facilities and to improve efficiency.
Process investigation: You assist with investigations into the adsorption / desorption process to enhance our understanding and improve efficiency.
Test execution and evaluation: You execute various testing methods and critically evaluate the test data to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Feasibility assessment: You assess the feasibility of different measurement methods based on test outcomes and practical applications, providing recommendations for improvements or alternative approaches.
Educational background: You have completed a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Process Engineering, Automation, or a relevant field within the past year or are currently enrolled in a master's program.
Technical knowledge: You possess sound knowledge of testing process designs as well as a strong foundation in measurement techniques, fluid-, and thermodynamics.
Programming skills: You possess sound knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (e.g., Python, C++) and ideally have experience with PLC programming and/or industrial communication protocols.
Learning motivation: You desire to expand your knowledge in measurement technology, industrial process controls, and the development of software.
Work style: You are reliable, performance-driven, hands-on, and maintain a structured working style. Additionally, you thrive in both fast-paced team environments and when working independently.
Language skills: You are fluent in English.
Availability: You are available to start on October 1st, 2026, for a 6-month internship.

What we offer:
At Climeworks, our six-month internships offer a hybrid work setup, giving you flexibility while ensuring valuable collaboration by working onsite at least three days per week. To maintain fairness, we follow a standardized salary process based on market benchmarks. For our internships based in Switzerland, the compensation is:
During BSc & MSc: CHF 2,000 per month
After completion of MSc: CHF 2,500 per month

Skills Required
