This internship will support the Finance, FP&A, and Data Analytics function by assisting with data preparation, analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives that enable better financial insight and operational decision-making across the firm. The intern will work closely with finance and analytics leadership on real-world business problems, gaining hands-on experience with modern data and business intelligence tools.
This role emphasizes data literacy, analytical tooling, and process improvement, rather than transactional accounting or traditional finance operations.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare, clean, and validate financial and operational datasets using Excel, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability for downstream reporting and analysis
• Utilize Power Query to transform, combine, and automate data from multiple source files and systems, supporting repeatable and scalable reporting processes
• Assist in the development and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards, including basic data modeling, measures, and visual quality checks
• Support the team’s evolving use of AI-enabled tools by assisting with prompt development, testing, and refinement for analytics, documentation, and productivity use cases
• Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends, variances, and data quality issues, summarizing insights and observations for the broader team
• Support recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis related to revenue, expenses, forecasts, and performance tracking
• Contribute to process improvement and automation efforts by identifying manual workflows, inefficiencies, or opportunities to standardize data handling
• Assist with documenting data definitions, assumptions, reporting logic, and process workflows to improve transparency and reuse
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by the manager

Qualifications / Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong foundational skills in Excel (formulas, tables, lookups, structured data); exposure to Power Query and/or Power BI is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated comfort working with numbers and datasets; coursework in statistics, quantitative analysis, or financial analysis is a plus
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) and interest in prompt writing or applied AI use in analytics, finance, or business workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
• Interest in finance, analytics, and how data supports business and strategic decision-making
• Ability to learn new tools quickly and apply them in a practical, business-oriented manner
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain analysis and insights concisely
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$22.50 - $25.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
