Job Description
The candidate will be working on experimental and data analysis activities for the development of an intelligent set of controls for Residential Air Conditioners. Ensuring a smooth operation of RAC tests, data collection, analysis, and validation of concepts related to energy management and thermal comfort optimization are the expectations.
As an Intern, Sustainable HVACs - MSc/PhD students you will support the following key tasks in collaboration with experience team members.
- Conducting RAC tests in Robert Bosch SEA Corporate Research HVAC testbed/lab
- Physical simulation of control cases on testbed, data acquisition, processing, storage and analysis
- Data post-processing and visualization, monitor controls performance.
- Execute and analyze experiment results with statistical tools to provide insights for further test and algorithm improvements related to comfort management, waste of energy and robust operation of RACs.
Qualifications
- Able to work full time for a period of 6 months (01.05.2025 to 30.11.2025)
- Educational background in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Experienced in sensor data collection, communication protocols, IoT devices.
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics, air conditioning fundamentals.
- Knowledge of python, SQL for data analysis, Docker, Home Assistant platform would be beneficial.
- Willing to perform hands-on experiments.
