About Job:

As a Subcontract Intern, you will support subcontracting activities in alignment with Technip Energies’ Values, Policies, and Operating Procedures. Under the guidance of experienced team members, you will assist in developing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors, evaluating their capabilities, and contributing to the timely and cost-effective placement of subcontracted services. This role will provide you with valuable exposure to contract management, negotiation processes, and Technip energies’ digital tools, helping you gain practical experience in supporting the successful execution of projects across various geographical regions.


Main Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in subcontracting activities throughout the proposal and project lifecycle, from pre-qualification to close-out, under the guidance of the Subcontracts Lead, while ensuring adherence to project budget, specifications, and timelines. 
  • Support the identification and assessment of potential subcontractors by gathering and organizing information to maintain an up-to-date and reliable subcontractor database.  
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and assist the Subcontracts Lead in defining subcontracting strategies. 
  • Provide support in the coordination, sourcing, and administration of construction subcontracts across various disciplines, including Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Fabrication, T&I, etc.
  • Assist in preparing and issuing Invitation to Bid (ITB) documents to subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project scopes and specifications. 
  • Participate in bid evaluations by coordinating with technical teams, organizing commercial evaluations, and supporting negotiations with subcontractors. 
  • Help administer subcontracts by ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and project-specific terms under the supervision of the Subcontracts team. 
  • Monitor subcontractor performance by assisting in tracking schedule adherence, quality of work, and budget compliance. 
  • Support the resolution of claims/disputes with subcontractors in collaboration with project teams and the legal department. 
  • Maintain accurate and organized subcontracting documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence. 
  • Contribute to identifying opportunities to improve subcontracting processes, enhance subcontractor performance, and optimize costs through research and analysis. 
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to subcontracting and procurement, sharing insights with the team as needed. 



About you: 
 

  • Current student studying in the field of Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or any Engineering disciplines.
  • Curious, goals oriented and solutions focused; 
  • Good writing and reading skills.
