Intern – Sourcing & Supply Chain

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Place purchase orders on time for the right material, quantity, price, and supplier.
Ensure purchase values stay within the approved raw material cost.
Use in-house excess stock (FIFO) before placing new orders.
Obtain Finance approval before releasing purchase orders to suppliers.
Receive and verify supplier order confirmations within 48 hours.
Negotiate credit terms and reduce supplier tolerances where possible.
Update order confirmations and timelines (AB/ET) in the system.
Conduct weekly supplier follow-ups, including Lab Dip, Bulk, and Test Reports.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management / Business Management/ Physical Science
Proficient in MS package
- Procurement exposure in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
