We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Food Science Intern to join our R&D team for the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in food product development, C&D and sensory evaluation. The ideal candidate is passionate about food innovation and eager to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting.
Where You’ll Make a Difference
Assist in developing and testing new food formulations.
Conduct sensory evaluations and analyze consumer feedback.
Support shelf-life and stability studies under various storage conditions.
Maintain lab equipment and ensure cleanliness and safety protocols are followed.
Document experimental procedures and results in technical reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including C&D, marketing, and operations.
What Makes You the Right Fit
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or related field
Have completed your sophomore year of undergrad education and will continue your education in the fall
Interested in human testing of flavors and fragrances
Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
Can work in an interdisciplinary scientific setting
High level of initiative and the ability to work in a team environment
Exhibit exceptional analytical instrumentation skills
Familiarity with theoretical and practical aspects in related area
How Would You Stand Out?
3.0 GPA or Higher
Ability to document results, analyze data, draw conclusions, and communicate findings
Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner.

Our South Carrollton location offers an intensive 10-12 week internship program, in which interns develop key projects and take part in a variety of learning activities. Your summer experience will go beyond a single department or lab with exposure to a broad range of scientific disciplines. At the end of the summer program, you will deliver a presentation of your ideas, results, and conclusions, thereby developing practical real-life skills. Our interns are paid a competitive hourly rate and are responsible for their own housing and transportation for the summer
