The Role

Position Summary

Samsung TV Plus is a growing destination for Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) and Ad-Supported Video on Demand (AVOD) experiences. Launched in 2018, Samsung TV Plus offers a diverse range of live channels and on-demand content, providing an engaging viewing experience for users across 2016-2025 model Samsung Smart TVs and recent Galaxy mobile devices. It continues to expand its offerings and user base, solidifying its place as a leader in the streaming space.
The Content Team is responsible for driving the strategy, execution and continued management of licensed content across US and Canada. The team encompasses Linear Programming (responsible for programming and scheduling of our Owned & Operated 24/7 linear streaming FAST channels), AVOD Curation (responsible for daily editorial non-algo driven curation efforts within the TV Plus APP ecosystem), and Merchandising (accountable for developing, executing, and driving the content merchandising and editorial curation planning efforts across US and Canada, for AVOD and FAST content).
Samsung TV Plus is currently seeking a Content Programming & Strategy Intern to join our Content Team for Summer 2025. This is a unique opportunity to be on the front lines of the rapidly changing streaming media ecosystem and gain hands-on experience supporting the strategy and operations of a high-profile international deal portfolio. You’ll be in the unique position of working across multiple components of our Content Team including linear TV channel programming, AVOD editorial releases and content strategy
The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with high attention to detail and have a strong knowledge base for all thing’s entertainment movies and tv shows as well as kids, sports, music. Bonus if candidate has knowledge of the FAST, Live TV, and VOD media landscape.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Implement content strategy through the curation of programming schedules for O&O linear channels to drive user consumption and discovery

  • Identify key editorial seasonal tentpoles and topical events to plan & execute programming stunts across FAST channels and AVOD Editorial Releases

  • Ensure curation meets the family-friendly quality standards for the service

  • Responsible for using data entry of content key meta in to a content management system

  • Ensure that new content is fully on-boarded & prepped for scheduling

  • Work closely with Asset Management & Ops team to resolve any content/asset issues

  • Participate in screening new movies and series as submissions come in and giving feedback

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s or higher degree, with a focus on Media, Communications and Business Administration/Marketing.

  • General familiarity with the FAST/AVOD space

  • Broad knowledge and passion for entertainment/pop culture

  • A curious mindset, with a passion for data-informed decision making.

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

  • Operational mindset, the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in an unstructured environment, and build on success.

  • Ability to maintain a collaborative and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in California, is expected to be between $31/Hour and $41/Hour.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
