Labcorp is seeking an Intern-Quality Assurance (BioA ) to join our team in Shanghai, China
Internship Details:
- Duration: 20 weeks, full-time/Onsite
- Dates of Internship: Jan 2027 – Jun 2027
- Compensation: Paid internship
- Eligibility: Final-year students who are expected to graduate in July 2027 are preferred.

About Team:
The Bioanalytical Quality Assurance (QA) Department supports both Large Molecule and Small Molecule bioanalytical testing in regulated laboratory environments. Our laboratory primarily supports clinical trial studies and provides quality oversight for bioanalytical activities conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), with additional support for selected Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies.
As a QA Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to quality systems, regulatory compliance, bioanalytical study processes, and data integrity principles that support drug development programs. You will work alongside experienced QA professionals and learn how Quality Assurance ensures the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of bioanalytical data used for regulatory submissions and clinical decision-making. You will learn how bioanalytical Quality Assurance supports pharmacokinetic (PK), immunogenicity (ADA/NAb), biomarker, and drug concentration testing throughout the clinical development lifecycle.
- Students will gain real-world experience working within a Quality Assurance team supporting regulated bioanalytical laboratories.
- Learn the fundamentals of GCP, GLP, data integrity, and quality management system requirements.
- Gain exposure to both large molecule and small molecule bioanalytical workflows utilized in drug development.
- Understand how Quality Assurance supports the generation of high-quality bioanalytical data for clinical and nonclinical studies.
- Participate in quality review activities associated with study documentation, laboratory records, and quality systems.
- Work closely with QA professionals and laboratory scientists to understand regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
- Instruction, coaching, and mentorship will be provided throughout the internship program.
- At the conclusion of the internship, students will present a summary of their project, key learnings, and contributions.
Internship Assignment Summary:
- Support QA activities related to bioanalytical studies conducted under GCP and GLP regulations.
- Assist with the review of study protocols, analytical data packages, reports, and laboratory documentation under supervisor guidance.
- Learn the principles of bioanalytical quality audits, data integrity assessment, and compliance monitoring.
- Support the maintenance of QA systems, training records, audit documentation, and quality metrics.
- Participate in document control and archival activities in accordance with SOP requirements.
- Attend training sessions covering bioanalytical regulations, quality systems, inspection readiness, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Collaborate with QA and laboratory teams to understand how quality oversight contributes to successful clinical development programs.
- Engage in professional development activities to strengthen communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Life Sciences Bachelor’s degree program.
- 3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of biological, biochemical, or pharmaceutical laboratory principles.
- Good written and reading English skills; Pass CET-4 or CET-6.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Interest in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, Clinical Research, or Bioanalytical Sciences.
- Coursework or laboratory experience related to biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, or biologics.
- Exposure to GCP, GLP, or other regulated laboratory environments through coursework, training, or internship experience.
- Familiarity with data management systems or quality management processes.
- Experience with scientific data analysis.
