The Cognitive & Data Science department deals with sensory analysis and consumer research in order to support the Creation & Design department and marketing/sales choices. It plays a key role in product development processes, through understanding of consumer needs and expectations (thanks to tools like sensory profiling, preference evaluation, product positioning, etc.).

The Cognitive & Data Science team supports product development, marketing, and innovation through sensory analysis, consumer research, and advanced data analytics. As an Intern PX Cognitive Data Science, you will contribute to meaningful projects that help transform complex data into actionable insights while gaining hands-on experience in a global organization. Where You'll Make a Difference- Develop automated workflows for routine data analysis and visualization under the guidance of experienced researchers.
- Support the development of high-quality software solutions that align with user needs and business objectives.
- Perform data cleaning, preparation, integration, and analysis using scientific and statistical methods.
- Write, test, troubleshoot, and improve efficient code for analytical applications.
- Assist with the implementation and deployment of developed solutions within IFF systems.
- Maintain and update panel performance and ballot creation databases in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Document methodologies, coding decisions, and project outcomes to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with scientists and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Present findings and recommendations through clear visualizations and reports.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Sensory Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
- Understanding of data analysis, data management, and statistical methodologies.
- Comfortable working in digital environments and learning new software tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Availability for a full-time internship for the required internship period.
- Eligible to work and complete an internship in the Netherlands.
- Experience with data visualization tools or dashboard development.
- Familiarity with software development principles, version control, or deployment processes.
