Intern - Production
Based at Silueta, Biyagama
We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined individual to support production operations within the manufacturing environment. The role provides hands on exposure to automated production processes, process improvement initiatives, digitalization projects, and operational excellence activities while contributing to productivity, quality, and efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the operation and monitoring of automated production processes, including dryer operations.
- Assist in implementing and tracking process improvement initiatives and operational projects.
- Support Quality, Cost, and Operational improvement projects to enhance manufacturing performance.
- Participate in digitalization initiatives to improve process visibility, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Collect, analyze, and report production data to support operational performance monitoring.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and technical teams to support day to day operational requirements.
- Prepare and maintain production-related records, reports, and documentation.
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to production processes.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and operational standards within the manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Interest in automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Skills Required
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
