Role Summary
Note: we are open to fall, winter, and spring internships.
As a Product Designer at Arcade, you will help define entirely new ways for people to design, personalize, and create physical products using generative AI. You’ll design elegant, expressive interfaces that make complex systems feel simple and intuitive, and work closely with engineering, product, and AI research to bring those ideas to life. You’ll own the end-to-end design process, from concept to launch, across our web and mobile surfaces.
You’ll lead design for workflows powered by custom models, agent systems, and generative interfaces, translating new AI capabilities into magical, user-first experiences. And you’ll be part of a fast-moving, deeply collaborative team where designers shape the core product, prototype quickly, and launch features that define a new creative category.
What You'll Do
- Design and launch user-facing features that make generative product creation intuitive, fun, and emotionally resonant
- Own and evolve core interaction patterns across key surfaces: design workflows, product configuration, content editing, and more
- Prototype and test new concepts quickly, working closely with engineers and researchers to bring speculative ideas into production
- Work across levels of fidelity, from napkin sketch to production-ready component, with taste and clarity
- Develop systems for consistent design across platforms, while making space for expressive and playful UX moments
- Collaborate across AI research, engineering, and product to shape new model capabilities into usable, delightful features
We're Looking For Designers Who
- Have strong systems thinking and UX fundamentals, with a love for clarity and flow
- Care deeply about aesthetics, usability, and emotional impact
- Thrive in ambiguous spaces and enjoy creating structure where none exists
- Have a strong product sense and think holistically about how users interact with intelligent tools
- Are excited about generative AI and want to design the interfaces that make it feel magical and accessible
- Move quickly, work collaboratively, and bring energy, humility, and taste to every interaction
What You Bring
- Currently in school with a background in Design, HCI, CS, or a related field, or equivalent experience designing and shipping real products
- A portfolio of work that shows strong craft, systems thinking, and a clear point of view
- Experience designing web or mobile products, ideally from zero to one
- Comfort working in Figma and collaborating directly with engineers on implementation
- Bonus: experience with generative tools, creative software, consumer marketplaces, or AI-powered products
