Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement producible designs of aerospace components manufactured with traditional material removal processes.
- Collaborate with technical experts to document and establish the design process for engine components.
- Create definitions of parts and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
- Perform tolerance stack-ups including the impact of direct and indirect tolerances.
- Support different engine programs to create, modify, and release design drawings and models.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or related with at least a 1.5 years to graduate.
- Strong communication skills in both English & Spanish
- Able to solve problems by itself
- Solid knowledge using a CAD system
- 2D and 3D interpretation

- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Interest on aerospace engine components
- Solid knowledge working with NX Siemens
- Understanding of mechanisms and the interaction of the components within a mechanism.
