What You Will Do:
As a Power Generation Planning Intern, you will support our community planning and renewable energy team in delivering thoughtful planning solutions for renewable energy projects. Your responsibilities may include:
- Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to land use, renewable energy siting, and community impact.
- Assisting with the review of land use applications and permits for renewable energy projects.
- Supporting preparation of staff reports, plans, and ordinance documentation.
- Assisting with community engagement efforts, including meetings, presentations, and outreach materials.
- Supporting code/zoning research and compliance efforts related to renewable energy projects.
- Contributing to other planning and renewable energy project tasks as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- Currently enrolled in a four-year program in urban planning, community planning, or a related field.
- Interest in renewable energy, land use planning, and sustainable community development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and presentations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and community stakeholders.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum GPA of 3.4 preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is preferred.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
