Within IBG Netherlands, we specialize in turnkey solutions, private label and packaging in the Beauty and Home Care industry. What will you do as New Product Development Intern 

As New product Development Intern within the Concept & Innovation / NPD team, you support our NPD Managers and commercial teams in developing new concepts and seasonal initiatives (such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s/Father’s Day). You combine research, analysis and creativity to help us build a strong innovation pipeline. 

 

You will be involved in, for example: 

  • Supporting on running customer accounts and day‑to‑day NPD projects;

  • Doing research on category, competition and trends: AI research, store checks/visits and category‑level analysis; 

  • Translating research and insights into attractive visual overviews and moodboards;

  • Preparing impactful customer presentations and sell‑in decks;

  • Helping to build and structure our new commercial initiatives and innovation pipeline (e.g. for seasonal events like Valentine and Mother’s/Father’s Day). 

 

By doing this, you play an important role in safeguarding the continuity and quality of our NPD output, so that our concept proposals remain sharp, relevant and visually strong. 

 

What will you learn? 

During this internship you will learn to: 

  • Be part of a creative, multidisciplinary team within the beauty industry; 

  • Work at the starting point of new concept development and idea generation; 

  • Use research methods and AI tools to gather and structure insights; 

  • Build attractive presentations and visual assets that tell a clear story; 

  • Support NPD Managers in bringing concepts from first idea to customer‑ready proposal.

Who are we looking for? 

You are a proactive intern who enjoys working in a dynamic, commercial and creative environment. 

 

You recognise yourself in: 

  • Education level: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

  • A proactive, hands‑on attitude; 

  • A genuine interest in cosmetics, brands and retail; 

  • An aesthetic eye and strong visual/design skills; 

  • And/or a strong interest in research, process optimisation and AI; 

  • Curious, eager to learn and not afraid to ask questions; 

  • Creative and enthusiastic about generating and shaping new ideas together with the team. 

 

A relevant study background (e.g. marketing/communication, business, design, creative business or similar) is a plus. 

 

Practical details 

  • Hours per week: 32 hours. 

  • Duration: 4–6 months. 

  • Start: September 2026

  • Location: IBG Netherlands – Amstgerdam Sloterdijk (3 minutes walking form the station)  

 

The exact end product of your internship will be defined together with you. It can be focused on content or process, for example: a research report or dashboard on a specific category, a set of visual guidelines or moodboards, improved image enhancement flows, a concept library or another concrete deliverable that adds value to our NPD output.
