The Men’s Program Staff Intern provides hands-on support within the men’s residential recovery or discipleship program. This position is designed for individuals who have recently completed Teen Challenge and desire to continue growing in leadership, service, and ministry while supporting men currently in the program.
Interns help maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for residents while gaining practical ministry and program operations experience.
Resident Support & Mentoring
- Build positive, supportive relationships with program participants.
- Serve as a role model of Christian character, integrity, and recovery principles.
- Assist residents with daily routines, scheduling, and program participation.
- Provide basic mentorship, encouragement, and accountability.
- Uphold program rules, guidelines, and disciplinary procedures consistently.
- Assist with check-ins, curfew monitoring, and routine headcounts.
- Help oversee classes, chapel services, and group activities as assigned.
- Support intake process for new residents (orientation, paperwork, basic onboarding).
- Maintain a safe and orderly living environment.
Requirements
- Successful completion of Teen Challenge (recent graduates preferred).
- Demonstrated commitment to personal recovery, spiritual growth, and Christian values.
- Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.
- Willingness to serve others with humility, patience, and compassion.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, or flexible shifts as needed.
- Physically able to perform daily operational tasks.
