Intern-Media & Web Development (Marketing)

Individuals who relocate 50 or more miles for this position may qualify for a $2,000 relocation allowance following the start of the internship, subject to satisfying documentation requirements
This position can be domiciled at any FedEx Freight location within the continental US. You will be required to work onsite at the FedEx Freight location.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Train with department management, professional and support staff in order to gain work experience. Gain a working knowledge of applications and tools related to assigned functional area; perform assigned tasks and project work with supervision; specific duties/tasks determined by department management. Assignments are directly related to Intern’s field of study.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform meaningful work in assigned department
• Participate in projects and tasks as assigned
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be enrolled at a Junior level or above (or have graduated within the last 12 months) at an accredited college or university
• Major or course of study toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science, marketing, web/digital design or related field
• A Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Depending on the functional area supported, additional knowledge, skills, abilities and experience may be required
• May require completion of courses related to specific functional department assigned
• Must be reliable and exhibit follow-through
• Must be adept in completing assignments and solving problems
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience and ability to use coding tools such as CSS, HTML, JavaScript or similar applications
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member

Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as tenure, market level, and pay at the location for this job. Eligible employees offered health, vision, dental, life, AD&D, STD, and LTD insurance, personal/sick paid time, 401(k) retirement savings plan, bonus potential, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, 2 weeks paid parental leave, paid bereavement, 6.67–13.34 hours vacation per month based on service time, 8 paid holidays.
Pay Range: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Illinois Pay Ranges: East Moline, Effingham, Kankakee, Lincoln, Quincy, Rockford $20.00 - $40.00 per hour; Aurora, Bolingbrook, Chicago Heights, Des Plaines, Elmhurst, Forest View, Joliet, Schaumburg, Summit-Argo, Zion $20.00 - $40.00per hour
New York Pay Ranges: Plattsburgh, Buffalo, Watertown, North Chili, East Syracuse, Nichols $20.00 - $40.00 per hour; Bethpage, Montgomery, West Babylon $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 17 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full/part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.
