Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Engineering team in the maintenance and troubleshooting of apparel manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
- Assist in identifying mechanical issues and supporting corrective actions.
- Conduct routine inspections of machines and equipment to identify potential failures.
- Support machine setup, adjustments, and basic mechanical modifications where required.
- Assist in maintaining maintenance records, machine history, and technical documentation.
- Support engineers in analyzing recurring machine breakdowns and identifying root causes.
- Participate in continuous improvement and productivity improvement projects.
- Assist in implementing 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and workplace improvement initiatives.
- Support the Engineering team in monitoring machine performance and reducing downtime.
- Assist with spare-parts identification, inventory monitoring, and technical specifications.
- Follow all company safety procedures, engineering standards, and work instructions.
- Coordinate with Production and other relevant departments to support smooth manufacturing operations.
- Carry out any other engineering-related assignments given by the supervisor/manager.
Qualifications
- Following a Diploma / Higher Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Basic understanding of machinery and mechanical systems.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work with Production, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
Skills Required
- Following a Diploma / Higher Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Basic understanding of machinery and mechanical systems.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
